Why is protein important?


Protein is SO important because...


✅ It’s responsible for growth, repair and maintenance of cells – amino acids are the building blocks of protein.


✅ Plays a major role in hair growth.


✅ Not getting enough protein in your diet can result in your body using muscle for energy.


✅ Protein builds muscle, cartilage and skin.


✅ Plays a role in hormonal regulation.


So, now we see how important protein is for us. Our body needs a certain amount and often it is more than we think.


So how can we get more protein in?

  1. Protein shakes (premier protein is often a go to for me)

  2. Greek yogurt (you can always have two of them)

  3. Cottage cheese

  4. Kodiak pancake mix ( i have this everyday)

  5. Protein bars (pure protein, power crunch, or one bars are a favorite of mine)

  6. Add protein to your oatmeal or pancakes.

  7. If you find you're consistently having 4 ounces of protein and still coming up short. Have 5 or 6!
